King George V & Queen Mary Commemorative Jugs – 1911

Description

A fine pair of early 20th century Staffordshire commemorative jugs, produced by E.P. Co. (Empire Pottery, England), celebrating the Coronation of King George V and Queen Mary in 1911.Each jug is decorated with colourful portraits of the royal couple, flanked by the Union Jack and royal standard, surmounted by the Crown and the royal motto “Dieu et mon droit”. The design is bright and detailed, retaining much of its original charm.
